Our History 

Founded in 1961 in the basement of Jean and Alfred Barbour's home in Burnaby, BC, we have grown from our modest beginnings into one of Canada’s premier industrial tool suppliers. A year after starting the company, Jean and Alfred purchased a house on Dawson Street in Burnaby, BC and moved the company there. During these first five years, the company grew to a team of 6.

In 1970, the original structure was replaced with a new 5,000-square-foot building, marking an important milestone in our company's early growth. More than 60 years later, that foundation has expanded into a thriving network, now operating five locations across Western Canada.
